(Title may need some explanation. There's a fairly recent movie called "Everybody's Fine." I started watching it, and realized it's almost the same as an Italian movie called "Siamo Tutto Bene", which means, Everybody's Fine! Must be either a remake or based on the same book or something).
Anyway, i just wanted to check in and let everyone know that really, everybody's fine here!
There were some ups and downs and scariness, but Biffy is all better and we (I) stopped giving him his medication on Thursday. The last few days I used a towel and it helped a lot! I'm not so good at making a secure bunny burrito, but I tried and Biff seemed nice and distracted by taking out his aggression on the towel. He chewed the towel and I really think it helped keep him calm. At some points, he'd clamp down on the towel like a baby's binky. (Get it? Binky?)
He seems to be feeling fine, although from the medication dripping down, he has a big ol' mat right at the bottom of his whiskers and it might be bothering him, I'm not sure. I'm afraid to try to cut it out for him, though.
Sogna's good too, although right around the time of stasis they both started a massive shed. So, Sunday morning, I got the old pen, locked myself in it with Sogna, and the furminator, and the brush. I was in there an HOUR with her, and she's still shedding like a beast. But I let her go, because I think an hour was quite enough for her. Then repeated with Biffy, although I wasn't in there as long with him because he doesn't shed badly, and he was done when he was done for the most part.
So now, the buns are mostly back to their studies. Midterms are this week, and the first draft of their final paper is due Sunday. Ahhhhh!!!!! (Midterms don't count, nor does the first draft, but it's a whole heck of a lot of work and it just keeps increasing...)
Wish me luck!
So good to hear that everybunny is doing fine. Sogna would appear to have designs on your homework....
ReplyDeleteI am with you. My trio is shedding like crazy and since Mojo is the main groomer I think that contributed to her problem. Dont worry about the little mat under his chin. It will go away with time. I am SO glad everything is Siamo Tutto Bene!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear buns are doing OK and you are surviving school. You know, once you are finished with your textbooks and have printed-out rough drafts that you don't need, the three of you would probably enjoy watching the buns shred/shredding the works. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteSo glad all is well! Best of luck with all your studies and homework. Ick!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I almost forgot! GOOD LUCK!
ReplyDeleteMick is shedding like a fiend as well--I limit his grooming sessions to an hour at a time at most because by then, it seems like he's shedding because of the grooming and not so much shedding on his own. I groomed him outside last week and left bunches of furballs all over my back yard; hopefully some poor critter can use them as an extra fur blanket for the winter.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your midterms and papers and all--I've been helping my niece by editing hers, but she keeps asking me to edit at the very last minute. I told her that I can't help her if she doesn't give me the time to do it properly.
Glad the bunns are feeling better and good luck with your midterms!
ReplyDeleteFine is good! It is amazing how much fur they can release and still have some left. Remember school is more fun than a rabbit with stasis.
ReplyDeleteSo happy all is well there. Whew! Let me know if you need some help with the writing. I'm good at it, and can use obstrufication in such a way they won't even know what I don't know. You will do great! Because all the animals of the world are waiting for you to appear on the scene to save them. Finally the abused and oppressed will have the courage to rise up and fight. Hoping they can find you there in Queens when it comes time for a good defense.
ReplyDeleteWell educated bunns are a treat!!! (Good luck!)
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with your studies!! and the buns' studies too - do they get exams the same time as you?
ReplyDeletewe have small sheds here only, the heating is kept low so they need all the fur that they have :)
(I may have to borrow some!)
Good luck with your studies! I´m a first time visitor here and I´m so happy to have found that there´s loads of bunny blogs out there! In Sweden where I live it´s not very common at all. Allt the best to you and your lovely bunnies! http://kaninfamiljen.se
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog! I hope you found the section in English? It´s under "Kategorier" on the right.
ReplyDeleteI don´t think my bunnies are the same breed as your friend Qi Papers... My bunnies are called Giant Pappilon in the UK and they are supposed to weigh at least 6 kgs as grown-ups. Males are often as large as 7-8 kgs. Funny thing about the names, in Sweden we call them tysk jättescheck which translates into German Spotted Giant or something like that.
Glad to hear everyone is doing well! I just got Mario a new brush. The old one mysteriously disappeared. I'm thinking he managed to toss it in the trash can or something.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in both cases!!
